I am reluctantly leaving Toast.net after five years only because I now have cable internet. They have the most responsive support team I have ever encountered in ANY business, not just ISPs. They also have a good assortment of backbones giving a ton of access numbers over several networks. Incoming email is now filtered for virus elimination. I rated the value down a little because there are less expensive options out there, but I don't think anybody can be any better a service. If they were cheaper I'd probably keep them for a backup to my cable.

I found Toast.net when I was came to myispfinder.com looking for an ISP with v92 support in my area. Plenty claimed support, but Toast actually had it.
The comments of Toast users convinced me to try them. Signup was simple, instructions for account set-up were sent immediately and worked perfectly.
Since then, I have used the on-line support to solve any problem I had.
Connections are fast and reliable and v92 is working just as promised.
This was what I wanted in an ISP.

This is a setting in your browser... Should be under Edit >> Preferences in NS.

I used Toast.net before I made the mistake of switching to Copper.net because they are a few dollars cheaper.

Understand, I never had any problems with Toast--I just thought I could save myself a couple dollars a month. What a mistake that was!

Now I am back on Toast and am quite satisfied. I rarely need help from their support, but the few times I have they have been prompt and helpful. Unlike Copper they actually respond to email requests for support and their service is reliable and stable.

If you have been on Toast for a while (as I had been) then you might start taking them for granted. If this happens then just switch to Copper for a couple months and you will never take them for granted again!

I recently switched to Toast.net from PeoplePC after reading the reviews on this web site. I have been very glad that I made the change, as Toast.net provides great service at a reasonable price. And the accelerator has allowed me to surf far faster than I was able to with PeoplePC's basic service.

Also, with other ISPs (AOL, Earthlink, PeoplePC, etc.) my connection would randomly freeze and I'd have to reconnect or even restart the computer. I replaced my modem but the problem still occurred so I naturally assumed my computer was to blame. But now that I'm with Toast.net I no longer encounter this problem. I can only conclude that my choice of ISP is a major factor in whether or not I have to suffer through such annoyances.

Thumbs up Re: TOAST.net Internet Service Ratings & Reviews

Over a year ago I read the reviews on ISPs so I could switch and get away from AOL. AOL caused so many problems on my computer and even after I uninstalled the software it got me again. All year I was missing dll files.
I tried Toast.net and these guys have been so good. They are like your local hardware store guy. I'll send a little email problem and often they will call me back more than once to make sure I got my problem solved. They aren't flashy but the service has been impressive for a dialup. The dialup problems I have are mainly bad local phone lines. With my Windows 98 system I even maxed out at 56 K once or twice, and 48k bps regularly. They keep out all the stuff I dont want: ads, spyware, viruses and gave me 5x accelerator as well. I am way out in the boonies of the western US (phone lines are bad) and I have had few complaints with these guys from Ohio. I was going to go DSL but not sure I really need to now. They have dsl too I think? I know this sounds like a commerical but I was so frustrated by AOL that I just had to vent it out. How do they even stay in business? me2
